Data is only as useful as your ability to utilize it. Here IQuote gives you the tools to interpret and analyze the data.
The charts page displays price movement in graphic form. The display can be adjusted to view a simple line, OHLC bar chart or Japanese candles.
Graphs can be stretched out or squashed in to view longer and shorter time periods. Scaling on the charts can also be changed to view in different time frames i.e. daily, weekly or monthly statistics. Prices can also be viewed in linear (Price) format or percentage change.
Numerous (more than fifty) technical indicators are available to assist in analysis. Most of these are adjustable to specific investment needs. The weight (size) of the indicators can also be adjusted to get a better view of the specific indicator. There are also various drawing tools (Fibernachio/trend/etc.) available.
Colours can be changed to suit the individual's taste. Keyboard shortcuts can also be created to make navigation much easier and faster.
Overlays can be created to compare different graphs i.e. a specific share compared to the overall index etc.
Various tools are also available to save time and effort. Scans can be set up to filter out symbols that conform to user's criteria, thus eliminating all the unwanted symbols. Baskets can also be created to display in graph form a combination of symbols. Baskets can also be created to view for example the Chicago wheat price, which is quoted in US cents per bushel, in ZAR per ton. Thus making it easier to compare the local markets with those in America.
Databases include South African (JSE) stocks, indices, warrants, exchange traded funds, South African unit trusts, South African (SAFEX) futures and options, International indicators (exchange rates etc.) USA stocks & indices and USA futures. |
